NATURAL BURIAL SITES

Many families take great comfort knowing that the person who has died is laid to rest with nature, or that choosing a greener burial option was more in keeping with their own environmental beliefs. Ever-growing in popularity, there are many natural burial grounds that we frequently conduct funerals at.

CLANDON WOOD, SURREY

A national award-winning natural burial ground that was designed as a nature reserve and a natural burial ground. Carefully managed by experts in conservation and arboriculture helping to stay true to the principles of a natural burial. Clandon Wood’s core message is that of a place of natural beauty where those that have died can be remembered. There is also an onsite service room where the funeral service can be held before an interment.

HEATHERLEY WOOD PARK, GRAYSHOTT

A peaceful and tranquil woodland and wildflower area provide a beautiful space for this natural burial ground.  A large modern service room that looks out into the woodland area provides a stunning environment to conduct a funeral service in.

SOUTH DOWNS, THE SUSTAINABILITY CENTRE

A natural burial ground that meticulously considers the biodiversity of the area, with every grave hand-dug and each coffin conveyed to the graveside by hand using a wooden wheel bier trolley to reduce the impact to the wildlife. Service rooms are available on-site too where the funeral service can be held.

BURIAL GROUNDS & CEMETERIES

A burial can be arranged at your local cemetery, burial ground or churchyard. We can advise you on your local options available to you and your family. You may wish to have a service before the interment at a church or another venue before proceeding to the graveside. We can also conduct graveside services where the service would be conducted entirely outside.

Burials that are conducted in a traditional cemetery will often have a strict set of rules and regulations that need to be adhered to. We can provide up to date costings upon request, these can often vary depending on if the deceased was a resident of the district or borough.
